We are Ofsted inspected and have been rated as “Good” in the following areas during our 2017 inspection: quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for children. We were rated as “Requires Improvement” in leadership and management, and are working very hard with the team and the committee to put all the issues right as soon as possible. We are excited to welcome Ofsted back in the very near future to review the changes we have made and to hopefully regain our overall “Good” rating.
We are delighted the inspector picked out the following points as good practice
“Partnerships with parents and other providers are effective. Staff know the children’s initial interests and abilities. They help children to settle with ease and engage in learning.”
“Staff help children to understand different cultures and languages well. For example, children learn how to say words in French and German, and they learn about various festivals throughout the year”
“The new manager has a good understanding of the learning and development requirements. Coupled with her high qualifications, she has a strong drive to improve outcomes for children.”
“Children behave well. They consistently use their manners, and pass snack around the table to each other. Staff support children’s self-esteem well.”
“All children enjoy outdoor activities. They learn how to roll hoops well, and take trips to the local beach with staff, helping them to stay physically active.”
